TESTING

Dział Badań i Projektowania (the testing and design department) of Przemysłowy Instytut Maszyn Budowlanych Sp. z o.o. provides examination and tests for complete machines and their assemblies in the scope of:

• special vehicle approval tests
• sports equipment, playground equipment and sports surface testing

Testing lateral stability of vehicles

Lateral stability tests of vehicles are conducted to:

• determine compliance of car tanks for transfer of dangerous goods with the requirements of the EEC UN Regulation No. 111
• determining compliance of hydraulic lifts for fire brigade with the requirements of the standard PN-EN 1777:2005
• determining compliance of buses with the requirements of the Directive 2001/85/EC
• determining the threshold fall angle for rescue, firefighting, and military vehicles
• checking stability of forklifts, loaders and vehicles
• determining the height of the centre of gravity

Stand parameters:

• Deflecting table dimensions: 16 000 mm / 660 mm
• Maximum lifting angle: 50°
• Admissible mass of the examined vehicle: 40 t

Special vehicle approval tests

With the Decision of the Minister of Transport, Building Industry and Maritime Economy TD-5ms-027-4/13 of 28 October 2013, the Company was appointed the entity authorised to conduct type certification examinations and approval tests for special vehicles:

• 1. in the scope of type approval:
  a) ) conducting WE type certification tests for vehicles or vehicle types for the categories of vehicles: M, N, and O
  b) conducting type certification tests for equipment or parts for the categories of vehicles: M, N, and O
  c) conducting:
  • inspections of compliance of vehicle production for the vehicles in the categories: M, N, and O
  • checking compliance of production of equipment or parts for vehicle categories: M, N, and O
• 2.in the scope of special vehicle approval for
  conducting tests to confirm fulfilment of the relevant conditions or technical requirements of the given vehicle, for the special vehicle approval for categories of vehicles: M, N, and O

Pursuant to the Regulation of the Minister of Transport, Building Industry and Maritime Economy of 26 March 2013 as regards special vehicle approvals (Dz.U. 2013, item 408) a vehicle may be presented for special approval:

• 1. before marketing in the territory of the Republic of Poland, for the type of which the manufacturer or the importer have not obtained the WE type approval certificate or vehicle type approval certificate
• 2. for the type of which the WE type approval certificate or the vehicle approval certificate has been issued, in which alterations were done before the registration in the vehicle, in the equipment, or in parts, which affect the conditions that constitute the basis for issuance of the type approval certificate for these vehicle type

The following documents have to be provided for special approval procedures:

• 1. the application/order to conduct vehicle examination to confirm fulfilment of the conditions or technical requirements stated in the Regulation of the Minister of Transport, Building Industry and Maritime Economy of 28 March 2013 as regards special vehicle approvals (DzU 2013 item 408)
• 2. the information document appropriate for the relevant category (M, N, or O) of the vehicle
• 3. the list of vehicle data and information necessary for the registration and for the register of vehicles
